WCC participated in the AutoMobili-D exhibit at the North American International Auto Show for the third consecutive year. The area is sponsored by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and Planet M and features more than 200 brands, ranging from automakers and suppliers to tech startups and universities. WCC was the only two-year college in attendance.
Washtenaw Community College is opening a new Career Transitions Office to prepare employers, individuals and the community for future jobs.
When the Bond family cut the ribbon on their new beginning on Sunday afternoon, it also signified the culmination of the three-year YouthBuild program administered by Washtenaw Community College.
Representatives of the U.S. Government Accountability Office visited WCC in March 2018, met with members of the college’s Student Services department, toured the college’s student food pantry and discussed the support WCC students receive via the WCC Foundation’s Student Emergency Fund and other services.
Abbee Elwell called it an “awe-inspiring” honor to be chosen as the student speaker at Washtenaw Community College’s Winter Honors Convocation ceremony on Thursday, Jan. 24. After all, she knows first-hand that the college is filled with incredible success stories.
